Former Colts return to the corral
It must be a sign of the quality mentors at AHS that make former Colts want to return to teach. This year, two 2009 graduates joined the growing list of alumni instructors. Tyler Davis, reporter for “The Colt”, sat down with them to find out what’s so infectious about Arlington High.
Tyler Davis: What was your high school experience like?
Arturo Obregon: Awesome, I really loved Coach Waldmann, Arlington has a really great math department.
Kyle Durr: Great! I was pretty much involved in everything: FFA, PALs, National Honor Society.
TD: Is this your first teaching job?
AO: This is my first job, I just graduated from UTA in May.
KD: No, I actually taught in Burleson for awhile.
TD: What brought you back to Arlington High?
AO: The math department. Honestly the math department as a whole was my main inspiration to start teaching.
KD: This is home, I was born and raised here.
Enough said.

These two young men are great hires who, I expect, will be here for a while carrying on the Sprit, Pride, and Tradition that is Arlington High School!!!
